Andrews – The Nantahala Regional Library branch is helping bring awareness to Sexual Assault Awareness Month in a partnership with Reach of Cherokee-Graham Counties.
There is a table set up with different amenities including teal colored pens, beads, stickers, bookmarks and pins will be on display and free of charge to the public as they enter the Andrews Public Library on Main Street downtown.
The display is off-set in the hallway, so as to respect both the privacy and the willingness of the public to display the teal-colored objects to help those who may not be able to speak out against sexual assault.
These items will be on display until they are gone throughout the month. Reach offers services to anyone suffering from abuse with hotline and counseling services.
