Murphy library's Trash to Treasure Yard Sale set Aug. 8-9

Body

Murphy – The Murphy Public Library’s annual Trash to Treasure Yard Sale is set from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 8-9, at 9 Blumenthal St. downtown.

This year, organizers are offering a special deal at noon Saturday – fill a bag for only $5. All kinds of items will be available, including books, DVDs, movie posters, knickknacks, a stereo and more, as items keep coming in.

This is a great opportunity to clean out your garage, storage areas, craft rooms and sheds. Donations are still being accepted and can be dropped off at the library or contact Friends of the Murphy Public Library for a pickup. Items must be clean, usable and in good working order.

Any unsold items will be donated to various charities in Murphy. Organizers are in need of price stickers, quart and gallon-size Ziplock bags, and magic markers before the sale.

Volunteers are also being sought to assist with the setup from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 6-7. The Murphy
Public Library wants to thank everyone involved in helping to put together the yearly fundraiser, which
will benefit patrons of the library.
