Murphy – The Murphy Farmers Market is ready to kick off the season, with its first market at the L&N Depot, 4 Railroad St. downtown, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
This is a weekly opportunity to get out and enjoy spring with family and friends. This Murphy Farmers Market will be offering some new area farmers and vendors, as well the local ones residents have come to enjoy, for some exciting browsing, tasting and shopping experiences.
Local farmers – including SMM Farms, Medicine Wheel Farms and Sunshine Mountain Farms – as well as several plant growers will be at the market with fresh vegetables and plants. Smoken C Ranch will have lamb, beef and honey, and there will also be vendors with fresh pies, eggs and baked goods.
Craft vendors will have everything from soaps, candles and Steampunk-like hats as well as spring hats, grooming products, artwork, photography, wood crafts, tumblers, knives, jewelry, handmade and crafted textiles.
Also in the works for the Murphy Farmers Market will be music and monthly cooking demos. Everyone is invited, there is no cost to attend and EBT dollars are accepted.
