  • Lisa Adams/ Contributing Photographer To honor him and his service in the U.S. Army on Memorial Day, Frankie Hughes placed a patriotic bow on the grave of her late husband, Don Hughes, along with her great-great- granddaughter, Leighton Hughes. Hughes, who was born on Jan. 17, 1927, and passed away on Jan. 1, 2023, was well known as an electrician at Hughes Electric; his family called him a very kind and caring man who loved his family, and also had a great sense of humor and loved to joke and laugh.
