Mark calendars for Chevellabration

Murphy – Chevelles 66 Restaurant & Bar 66 is inviting everyone to come out and help Chevellabrate their 15-year anniversary.

And what a party it will be at 66 Hiwassee St. downtown. July 1-7 will be filled with special menu items, prices, prizes and giveaways as Chevelles’ way of thanking their faithful staff and customers over the years.

This festive event will have a carnival-like atmosphere, just without the rides. They will be giving away swag like a Coca-Cola mini-refrigerator, different coolers, hammocks and even a kayak.

It wouldn’t be a party without some music and food. There will be throwback menu items and prices from Chevelles’ first menu 15 years ago.

There will also be live music all weekend:

  • Friday, July 5: Corey James Clifton.
  • Saturday, July 6: Jesse James and The Patron Haints.
  • Sunday, July 7: Bullstreet.

A happy customer from Hiwassee Dam, Skip Olney, put it like this.

“We’ve lived here for about five years, and Chevelles is the first place we found,” he said. “It’s the most consistent place we’ve found with good food, great service, and a friendly and family atmosphere.”

Owners Larry and Thea Butler started their Cherokee County restaurant career with The Longhouse at the former Cherokee Hills Golf Course. Since opening Chevelles 66, the Butlers have also opened Chevelles 69 Restaurant & Bar in Hayesville.

“Being a part of the Cherokee County community and a staple in delightful downtown Murphy has been an absolute joy. We are filled with pride and appreciation for all the amazing individuals who have supported us, making Chevelles restaurant the talk of the town,” the Butlers said.
