U.S.: Traitors vs. the patriots

A recent op-ed by author Joe Hoft describes the situation in Washington.

“Continue to vote, but don’t expect the predicted electoral ‘red wave’ of congressional Republicans to change the status quo in Washington, D.C. The Republican Party, led by Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell and Republican House leader Kevin McCarthy, remains in the tight grip of the oligarchy, which in 1993 Lewis Lapham, founder of Lapham’s Quarterly, described as:

“ ‘That 2 percent of the population who own the media

and the banks, manage the

government, operate universities, print money, write laws and, every four years, hire a president.’ ”

Both parties morphed into a uni-party. They oppose the U.S. functioning as a constitutional republic, accountable to the people, because it inhibits their ability to accrue personal power, profit for themselves and their financial backers.

The U.S. is divided into two camps: patriots and traitors. Patriots support the Constitution as written divided into three major parts: the preamble, seven articles and amendments. Patriots support the separation of powers between coequal three branches of government.

Traitors engage in revisionism, and work against constitutional principles and laws.

Unconstitutional executive orders bypass Congress routinely. President Joe Biden’s administration effectively violates the Constitution and codified laws. This is treason and purposeful, intentional destruction of America.

Forget “politics as usual” or a “political disagreement.” Everything will not be fine. Former President Ronald Reagan’s “11th Commandment,” which declared, “Thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican” is irrelevant in today’s liberalized GOP.

Joe McCarthy was right; he was just early. Marxists are everywhere in government leadership, public education, universities, unions, mainstream media, social media, Hollywood, Washington, D.C., judges and lawyers, district attorneys, and in the leadership of the military and law enforcement.

The time to act is now, or we will never make it to 2024.

Love helping fight damage

I’d like to take this time to thank our wonderful neighbors for so selflessly

coming to our aid after the storm on July 20. Both of our bridges were demolished and swept away in that storm, and we are stranded with a very long process to restore even one bridge.

We had a truck given to us to use, a crew dismantling and removing the torn-up bridges, garden vegetables dropped off, daily calls and messages of love and offers to help us, people asking us if we need anything and if we are OK.

We are making it through

because of all of the love in this community. We are sincerely grateful to everyone.

Right now, we have put up a link to help us get the steel, concrete, heavy machinery, gravel and all other materials here. If you can donate, we sure would appreciate it; if you can pray, send good thoughts, vibes and intentions we would be grateful.

Here is the link to our fundraiser: https://gofund.me/bd50be1b. Please share it. God bless.

The ‘end of construction’

Have you ever been through a remodel job on your house and you were perhaps the supervisor making sure every little detail down to the last stroke of a painter’s brush marked the end of a job well done?

The worries and stress of overseeing a construction site can be overwhelming, but when you are completely satisfied with the end results you can rest from your labor and just enjoy the finished product.

Will Graham, grandson of evangelist Billy Graham, wrote a devotion book called the Redeemed for the Longing Soul. In his book he tells a true story of his grandmother, Ruth Graham, who saw a sign on the side of the road that read – “End of construction – Thank you for your patience.”

Though I wasn’t with her at that moment, I can imagine the flicker in her eye as she made the connection between that simple sign and her life.

She was a pilgrim, passing through this world as an imperfect child of God. She would grow in her faith and understanding of God, but only know perfection once she passed from this world and stood in His presence. As such, the words of that roadside sign are craved into a simple stone brick above her earthly grave. “End of construction – Thank you for your patience.” End of quote.

Ruth knew in her heart that there was more to life than just here and now. Her faith in Jesus Christ gave her a blessed assurance of a new life, a life in heaven with her Redeemer and Savior. A new life that has no end, only a joyful beginning forevermore in glory.

What do you say? Are you ready to join Jesus on that narrow path that leads to heaven? I pray with all my heart you do.
