UNAKA

Water cans donated here

Anheuser-Busch and 11 of its wholesaler partners have donated more than 72,900 cans of emergency drinking water to 31 volunteer fire departments across North Carolina.

The donation is part of a nationwide effort to encourage disaster preparedness in communities by arming volunteer firefighters – who account for 65% of all U.S. firefighters – with critical resources that are often scarce due to limited budgets. Throughout the summer, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler network, in partnership with the National Volunteer Fire Council, has been delivering 1.5 million cans of emergency drinking water to more than 630 volunteer fire departments across 44 states.

Those that have received donations include the Unaka Fire Department, 15015 Joe Brown Highway; Graham County Fire Department, 70 W. Fort Hill Road in Robbinsville; and Stecoah Township Rescue Squad & Fire Department, 140 School House Road.
