Murphy – The Cherokee County Historical Museum at 87 Peachtree St. in downtown Murphy will be having an open house from 1-5 p.m. Sunday to celebrate the museum's 100th birthday.
Everyone will be treated to free admission, and is encouraged to come by and see all the exhibits and artifacts. The museum offers a rich history of Native American and pioneer settlers from the western corner of North Carolina. Come in and see the antique and vintage farm, household items and many other objects, including collectable dolls donated by a local resident.
