A number of events are being planned in Cherokee County in celebration of Veterans Day, which is Monday.
One of the most well-attended local events will be Townson-Rose Funeral Home’s 27th annual Veterans BBQ, which will be held from noon-2 p.m. Monday at Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church, 1650 N.C. 141. All Cherokee and Clay county veterans, active duty military personnel, public servants, spouses and surviving spouses are invited to the free appreciation dinner.
While there will not be a program this year, you will get a hot meal and warm company. For details, call 828-837-2109.
