Early voting in Murphy

Early voting starts Thursday at the Cherokee County Board of Elections, 40 Peachtree St. in downtown Murphy. Weekday voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Saturday voting will only be held on Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Voters can also fill out an absentee ballot request form at the office through Oct. 29.

The general election is scheduled from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 5. Voters willbe asked to show an appropriate photo identification.
