Murphy – Donations of all types of fabric, yarns, paints, basket-weaving materials, and other arts and crafts supplies have been filling up the Murphy Public Library, thanks to generous local crafters.
Everyone is invited to find the treasures that suit their needs at the Friends of the Murphy Public Library’s annual Crafts Supplies Sale. The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the meeting room of the downtown library.
Everyone is welcome to come by and find what they need for their next projects. Is there a quilter in the family? Or a woodworker?
Volunteers for the Friends’ will organize the tables and fill them with items donated by library patrons. Local crafter Jo Ann Allen will also be selling her work, and there will be plenty of free advice for the asking.
Friends of the Murphy Public Library is a nonprofit, and volunteers work to raise funds for more books, more media and more books on tape, which is especially appreciated by quilters and dollmakers.
