Peachtree – The auditorium was standing-room only as Tri-County Community College hosted its annual commencement ceremony Friday.
This year, the college awarded a total of 257 associate degrees, nine diplomas and 16 certificates. Additionally, during the High School Equivalency Graduation on Saturday, Tri-County awarded 16 high school equivalency diplomas and 41 adult high school diplomas.
Dr. Donna Tipton-Rogers, president of Tri-County, expressed pride and admiration for the graduating class.
“Graduation is not just about looking back; it’s also about looking forward with hope and anticipation. Have faith in how far you can go and believe in your ability to achieve your dreams,” she said. “The world is full of opportunities waiting for you, and with determination and perseverance, there is no limit to what you can achieve.”
As the graduates prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives, Tipton-Rogers said they carry with them the experiences and knowledge gained during their time at Tri-County. Equipped with their degrees, diplomas and certificates, they are well-prepared to embark on their next step in life and make meaningful contributions to their respective fields and communities.
“Tonight, we’re not just celebrating the outstanding achievements of our graduates; we’re also celebrating the spirit of support and togetherness that thrives within our community,” college vice president Paul Worley said.
