On Aug. 1, the month starts with a full Aquarius moon, leading the week with a can-do attitude. This energy can be overwhelming, and difficult to maintain, so don’t take on more than you can handle after this wears off. And with Jupiter in Taurus, new ideas are likely to be negated, so save pitching those thoughts until later this month.
Thursday the moon moves into Pisces, and conjoins Neptune Friday, setting the stage for a dreamy two days good for connections and meditation. By Saturday when the moon transitions
into Aries, expect that energy to shift into high gear as this sign is full of fire.
Monday, Aug. 7, the workweek begins with the third quarter moon in stubborn Taurus, but is tempered by Venus retrograde and the moon finding its place in Gemini on Wednesday, when everyone is feeling more agreeable.
This week is perfect for clearing up interpersonal relationship issues. The weekend is ruled by a Cancer moon and with a Leo Sun sharing space with Venus in retrograde on Sunday, it’s the best day for anything requiring confidence, particularly in matters of love.
In the third week, finish anything that needs to be addressed and prepare for Mercury retrograde when the fiery planet enters its “storm” Tuesday. Expect that miscommunication and mishaps are bound to happen more frequently after this.
Wednesday the 16th is August’s New Moon and it joins the Sun in Leo, forming a grand trine with Mars in Virgo and Uranus in Taurus. This is a perfect time to go full-speed on any business endeavors. Friday, a Virgo moon opposes Neptune, creating a prime time to use those detail-oriented and creative energies to be productive.
By Monday the 21st, the moon is in Libra, making conversations easy and a good day for teamwork. That all changes on Tuesday when the sharp tongue of Scorpio dominates. This critical energy continues into Wednesday, when the Sun enters Virgo and Mercury leaves its storm and goes fully retrograde, with the first quarter moon opposite Uranus. These planetary energies are good for reviewing work that needs changing and taking action on it but be prepared to have frustration when sharing and receiving feedback.
Sagittarius rules the weekend early when the moon moves into this sign Thursday night, ready to shake off the aggravation of the last few days. Flighty and fiery, this moon sign will make running away from reality seem like a good idea. But a grounded Capricorn moon brings thoughts back to earth on Sunday just in time to resume the workweek with a more level head.
Uranus goes retrograde on Monday the 28th furthering that ambitious Capricorn energy, but is clouded by feelings of regretting missed opportunities from the past so don’t feed into your fear of missing out by comparing yourself to others. That idea you had at the beginning of the month will be more well received when the moon moves into Aquarius Tuesday. By Thursday the moon is full in Pisces for the final day of the month, ending on a somewhat emotional energy that should be spent on self care and gratitude.
