Andrews – Snowbird Mountains Brewery hosted its second annual community St. Patrick’s Day party Saturday.
The green event included a kilt contest, plenty of new brews on tap along with a special blended “Luck of the Irish” blend of a of the brewery’s Tunnel pilsner and Mudtown porter, an untraditional take on a “Black & Tan” but with a splash o’ the green for those who weren’t sporting traditional colors. Music was provided by the original kilted “O’Talian,” Bill Vespasian.
Windy weather moved the majority of the festivities indoors as those wearing kilts worried about which way the wind was blowing. With a crowd enjoying the fair fare, there was more than a bit of luck circulating through the place.
Pop’s Big Cheese Wagon food truck was in attendance, providing different fare than their gourmet sandwiches to include more Irish staples such as bangers and mash, sausages and cabbage, and shepherd’s pie plates.
