Murphy – The town and a host of local sponsors invite the public to the annual Spring Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
The event will offer unique vendors, a variety of food trucks and multiple family events. Regional beer brewers and local vineyards will sell their hops and grapes, while main stage musicians entertain the crowds.
Street Preacher opens at noon, followed by At Risk Youth at 1:15 p.m. At 2:30 p.m., Dottie the Band takes the stage for a full-hour set. Sugah & Thuh Cubes follow their act at 3:30 p.m., at which time the stage remains quiet until headliner Hu$hmoney takes the stage at 5 p.m.
Local artisan vendors will sell their handcrafts and wares and plenty of snack vendors stand at the ready, enticing with their savories and sweets. The McNabb Properties Beer Garden on Tennessee Street next to the stage is open for a $5 fee, which includes souvenir mug and bracelet for re-entry throughout the day.
Murphy will shut down Tennessee Street and Valley River Avenue during the event. This family friendly community gathering is always a great way to commence springtime with dancing, sipping and shopping under the warm, blue sky.
