Murphy – Everyone is invited to come out to downtown for the Murphy Mountain Christmas Festival this weekend.
From 5-8 p.m. Friday, join in for the last First Friday Art Walk of the season, with all of its arts and crafts vendors, music and various eats. Check out the S’Mores Bar at Smoky Mountain BBQ as well as the Cocoa Crawl. And from 4-9 p.m., there will be a Santa Crawl for adults with specialty drinks.
Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, there’s a full day of family fun with an arts, crafts and music festival. And at 6 p.m., gather around for the Murphy Christmas Parade.
The parade, which will be live-streamed through the Cherokee Scout’s Facebook page, will travel from the Valley Village Shopping Center on Andrews Road and move toward the L&N Depot downtown. Santa and the Grinch will also be making appearances.
The food and fun continue from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, when there will be a pancake breakfast with Mrs. Claus at Buck Bald Brewing. This annual event is put on by Downtown Murphy Business Association and Visit Cherokee County.
