- Photos by Anngee Quinones-Belian/Staff Correspondent Six-year-old Hazel Beck of Peachtree found a golden egg during a hunt at High Lonesome Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Unaka on March 23. She said about finding the eggs, “I feel like it’s really easy because I can see them all.” She’ll be starting riding lessons at the center in April, riding atop Daniel.
- Local toddler Arthur Lee is just 2 years old, but he held his own on the field geared toward the youngest Easter egg hunters at the Ranger Volunteer Fire Department on March 23. At one point after finding a large egg, he curled up his nose and threw the egg back down to the ground, treat and all; perhaps that particular chocolate candy just wasn’t to his liking.
