Rummler has teaching experience at the elementary, middle and high school levels, including eight years in Nash County and 16 years in Cherokee County. He previously served as an assistant principal at Murphy Middle and principal of Murphy Elementary.
Brown has served as an instructional coach, lead teacher, pre-kindergarten program director and assistant principal during her 24 years of experience working in Cherokee County Schools.
“All of these experiences have given me a broad perspective of the school environment, but I am committed to being an advocate for my students first and foremost,” Brown said in an online letter to the community. “It is my pleasure to lead so many wonderful teachers and students at Murphy Elementary School.
“My goal is to continue to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning and growing together. I hope to help create a culture of support and growth for both teachers and students.”
