Andrews – A 20-year-old Andrews resident died after his car slid off a road and struck a tree late Sunday night.

The Highway Patrol identified the victim as Ethan Robert Chance Neal.
Trooper Shawn Wilson said Neal was driving a red 2000 Chevrolet Camaro at high speed when he came upon a left curve and crashed into a tree.
The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on the 4000 block of Pisgah Road not far from Bristol Avenue.
Conditions were dry, clear and cold at the time of the crash.
Valleytown Fire & Rescue responded to the crash and was able to extricate Neal and Cherokee County Emergency Medical Services transported him.
An attempt to airlift Neal was thwarted when fog set in and prevented helicopter operations, Valleytown Fire Chief Justin Hyde said.
