The investigation concluded on Nov. 22 with a search warrant being executed at the local residence of Donavan Kurt Fain, which yielded more than 500 grams of methamphetamine, 11 firearms and drug paraphernalia, according to a release. Fain is being held at the Cherokee County Detention Center in Murphy on a $802,000 secured bond.
“We should all be grateful for all the hard work that the men and women at the sheriff’s office commit to everyday to keep our communities safe,” Sheriff Dustin Smith said. “This is a great example of the time and effort that is put in to a case to help rid the streets of these dangerous drugs and the criminals that are putting our communities at risk.”
Fain is charged with two counts of high-level trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell methamphetamine, maintaining place for controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
