Murphy Rehab & Nursing at Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital in Peachtree hosted a family parade Friday afternoon. Residents’ families were invited to participate in a special effort to show their loved ones how much they are missed and loved, as they can’t receive visitors because of the COVID-19 pandemic. All residents wore masks, and areas were marked off as a safety precaution. Family members stayed in their cars and remained a minimum of 6 feet away from their loved ones, but that didn’t stop them from enthusiastically greeting them. Amy Jones, activities director, and Emily Fulford, director of Murphy Rehab & Nursing, coordinated the special day for their residents.
