Murphy – The Worship Tent, a non-denominational praise and worship celebration hosted by Micah Jacob International, will hold its first meeting at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 90 Casino Parkway.
In 2008, Camillo and Rachelle Castellana were called by God to build a refuge, a local place for people to come and return to their first love, Jesus Christ. They were called by God to move to Murphy in 2015, when they founded the Micah Jacob International 501(c)3.
In September 2020, God put on the Castellanas’ hearts to erect The Worship Tent.
“We have been praying ourselves since 2008 specifically for what God said He was going to do in Murphy,” Rachelle said in a post on a Facebook page about the event. “God is hearing our prayers, and we are excited to walk in obedience with the One True Living God!”
She said the tent will be up for almost a year, with no specific end date.
“God is going to decide what will happen,” she said. “It’s a Holy Spirit-led worship tent with music, praise, praying, evangelists, local pastors and testimonies.”
Rachelle said the foundation of everything they do is to honor and obey God’s word, and see the harvest of many souls come to know Jesus.
The Worship Tent holds about 300 people and has been funded by donations. For details, visit Rachelle Castellana’s Facebook page, where updates will be made.
