Murphy and Andrews were well-represented on the Smoky Mountain All-Conference football team for the 2023 season.
Murphy’s players include running back Hunter Stalcup, who accumulated 1,909 yards on the ground, 388 yards receiving and another 334 yards on kickoff and punt returns; Ryan Payne, Camden Breazeale, Brody Orton and Will Joyner. Receiving honorable mentions were Ricky Queen, Kenyon Nichols, Kadence Leatherwood and Aiden Adams.
Andrews’ players include defensive lineman Dalton Rose, offensive lineman Tyler West also named the SMC Co-Lineman of the Year – and offensive lineman Landon Greene. An honorable mention went to Graham Burch.
The Smoky Mountain All-Conference soccer team for the 2023 season was also released. Honors went to Murphy players Tyler Payne, Cale Harger, Elijah Twiggs and Abram Twiggs, with an honorable mention going to Samuel Lewis.
