    Ronald Albert Conley, 78, of Parrottsville, Tenn., formerly of Andrews, entered into the arms of His Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, for his final rest.
    Ronald was a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving as a pilot.  
    He was a retired professor at Tusculum College after 30 years and was an avid farmer. Ronald was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, where he taught the Adult Sunday School Class and was the song leader.
    He was the son of the late Albert “Buster” or “Buck” and Ruth Myra Brown Conley.
    He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eleanor Ferguson Conley; two daughters, Myra Conley and Michaela Gandy and husband David; two sons, Lynn Conley and wife Michele, and Albert Conley and wife Kerri; five grandchildren, Tori, Tyler, Travis, Nathaniel and Katerina Conley; two sisters, Sherry West and husband Eddie, and Donna Adams and husband Eddie; a brother, Darrel Conley and wife Margie; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Danny Ferguson and wife Patricia, Libby Miller, Susie Huskins and husband Roger, and Barbara Ferguson-Robinson and husband Chris; as well as several nieces and nephews and cousins.
    A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, in Red Marble Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mickey Stewart officiating and military graveside rites conducted by the Hayesville VFW Post 6812, Hayesville American Legion Post 532 and Murphy American Legion Post 96. Pallbearers were Danny and Christopher West, Nicholas and Jerome Adams, and Joseph and James Conley. Honorary pallbearers were Cynthia Postell and Jacob Conley.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in memory of Ronald Albert Conley to Fellowship Baptist Church Missionaries, 120 State St., Greeneville, TN 37743.
    Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, was in charge of local arrangements.
