Take notice that a pleading seeking relief against you has been filed in the above-entitled action. The nature of the relief being sought is as follows:
Foreclosure sale to satisfy unpaid property taxes owing to Cherokee County on your interest in the property described as follows:
Tract #1 - BEGINNING at an iron peg marking the Southwest corner of Dennis Rose premises (said iron peg being on the line between Hedden Stiles and Dennis Rose) and running in a Southwest direction up the ridge and with a wire fence to a spanish Oak tree on top of Ridge; thence Northwest running with an old roadway to the W.B. Mikel line, now owned by Taylor Heirs at a Rock corner; thence runs Due North down the ridge with said line to the old Ducktown road; thence Northeast with said road to State Highway; thence with said road an eastwardly direction to the Northwest corner of Dennis Rose premises; thence, S 13 deg. 50 min. E 134.8 feet to an iron peg; thence S 40 deg. 08 min. E 117.3 feet to the corner of BEGINNING, containing 7.30 acres, more or less.
Tract #2 - BEGINNING on a stake on the W.K. Mikel line (this is the beginning corner in Deed from Mary Hill and others to Hedden Stiles and wife, Edith Stiles, dated October 28th, 1961, and recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds in Cherokee County N.C. in Book 228 at page 219) and runs North 150 yards with said Mikels line to Highway No. 294; thence with Highway 294 in an Eastern direction 100 yards to where it crosses the old Shoal Creek and Ducktown road; thence with said Shoal Creek and Ducktown road in a Southwesterly direction 135 yards to the corner of BEGINNING, containing 1 1/2 acres, more or less.
THERE IS EXCEPTED FROM Tract #2 above a small tract or parcel of land containing 0.80 acre, more or less, which was sold to Clifford Rose off the Northwest
corner which is described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron peg on S.W. edge of pavement of SR 1150 corner of Clifford and Lloyd Rose and running S 43 deg. 0 min. West 146.0 feet to iron peg marking corner of Clifford and Lloyd Rose corner; thence N 48 deg. 0 min. W 198.15 feet to iron peg marking corner of Clifford and Lloyd Rose corner and the Taylor line; thence N 21 deg. 0 min. E 149.0 feet to an iron peg at Highway; thence S 47 deg. 30 min. E with said Highway 196.3 feet to iron peg; thence S 56 deg. 0 min. E 58.1 feet to the corner of BEGINNING.
ALSO EXCEPTED FROM Tract #1 is all of that property described in Deed Book 830, Page 168, recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds in Cherokee County, NC.
Subject to easements, restrictions and rights of way of record, and matters of survey.
Also being identified as Parcel ID# 4523-00-25-9682-000, Cherokee County Tax Office.

Plaintiff seeks to extinguish any and all claims and interests that you may have in the property, to have a commissioner appointed to sell the Property and to deliver to the purchaser a deed to said real estate in fee simple, free and clear of all encumbrances, and that the interests and equities of redemption of the Defendants in the property be forever barred and foreclosed.
You are required to make defense to such pleading not later than June 11, 2024 and upon your failure to do so the party seeking service against you will apply to the court for the relief sought.
