    David Eaglesham Flaws of Radford Road, Murphy, passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, in the NHC Health Care in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., following an extended illness.
    Mr. Flaws was born June 12, 1934, in Passic, N.J., the son of the late Magnus Flaws and Nancy Eaglesham.
    He was a veteran of the U.S. Army of the Korean War. David loved music and played, and sang in the Victorious Quartet.  He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.
    He was a member of Victorious Assembly of God in Murphy.
    Surviving Mr. Flaws are his loving wife and best friend of 56 years, Harriett Maddox Flaws of Murphy; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Hart of Murphy; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Katrina Flaws of Murphy; one brother and sister-in-law, Magnus and Marjorie Flaws of Brandon, Fla., seven grandchildren, Jacob Helton and wife Elizabeth, Sarah Helton, Kathryn Hart, Benjamin Flaws, Gabriel Flaws, Noah Flaws and Alexander Flaws; one great-grandchild, Emma Flaws; and many other relatives and friends also survive.
    No services are planned at this time.
    In lieu of flowers, if you wish, David’s wishes were that all husbands take your wives out to dinner in his memory.
    Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.
