Andrews – The Andrews Public Library held a herb and gardening program Saturday led by Graham County Library assistant Karen Taylor.
Taylor, a former employee of the Andrews Public
Library, is an herbalist and longtime gardener and
local food advocate in western North Carolina, who owned and operated Taylor’s Greenhouse near Robbinsville for decades. Her classes focus on herbs for culinary usage as well as making medicinal salves and tinctures from cultivated plants. She also periodically offers workshops at the Graham County Public Library.
Taylor will also be at the library during Spring Fling from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, with plant starts for purchase.
The library’s seed catalog is also fully stocked for the 2026 gardening season, branch manager Jacqueline Hulse said. Packets are free from the catalog and limited to five per person, per visit.
