Wanda Gail Hogsed, 66, of Kings Mountain, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at Testa Hospice House in Kings Mountain.
She was born in Cherokee County to the late Alvin Queen and Mary Lou Hickey Queen, and was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Queen.
Wanda was of the Christian faith.
She enjoyed going to flea markets and loved shopping. Wanda was an avid bird watcher and especially loved watching her hummingbirds. She also enjoyed flower gardening and spending time at home around her family and friends.
Wanda was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She will be missed greatly by all of her family and loving friends.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Max Hogsed, of the home; son, Jody Hogsed (Andrea) of Kings Mountain; daughters, Buffy Smith (Jason) of Pacolet, S.C., and Jessica Hogsed, Kings Mountain; sister, Sherry Mason (Gerald) of Blairsville, Ga.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and her loyal canine companion, Jake.
All services will be private.
