Renae L. Hamby, 49, of Columbus, Miss., was born Feb. 8, 1973, in Andrews. She died on Monday, Aug. 15, 2022.
She graduated from Murphy High School and attained her RN from the Mississippi University for Women. She wrote, “Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I set out on my journey to answer God’s calling as a Registered Nurse.” She was the recipient of the Florence Nightingale Award for her compassion as a nurse to her patients.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mckayla Lee.
She is survived by her parents, Ken and Toni Moran Lovingood of Anderson, S.C.; her sister, Amy (Dwight) Estep of Murphy; her son, and the joy of her life, Collin (Evelyn Rose) Hamby, of Caledonia, Miss.; and a stepdaughter, Felicity Marie of Jacksonville, Fla.
