Mrs. Margie J. Roberts Pollard, 78, of Marietta, Ga., passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, after a decade long battle with dementia.
She was a woman of faith and family, and a member of New Canaan Baptist Church in Dallas, Ga.
Mrs. Pollard was the daughter of the late Collis Lee and Metha Clonts Roberts; and a sister, Dorothy Roberts Scoggins.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Robert (Bob) Pollard; sons, Brian and Matthew Pollard; brothers, Kenneth and Ray Roberts; grandchildren, Clara, Alison, Elaine and Everett Pollard; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, with the Revs. Johnny Foster and Justin Harris officiating. Music will be provided by Johnny and Judy Foster. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Everett Pollard, Don Mills, Mark Rodgers, Katie Rodgers, Larry Rakestraw and Lowell Williamson.
The family will receive friends from noon-1:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at the funeral home prior to the service.
