    Wilford “Will” McDonald, 87, of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn.
    Mr. McDonald was born May 20, 1934, in Murphy to the late Bob McDonald and Hannah Dailey McDonald.
    He attended Boiling Springs Baptist Church, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Will loved the outdoors.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Bob McDonald; mother, Hannah Dailey McDonald; son-in-law, Billy Harbin; brother, Bud McDonald; sisters, Belvie Caldell, Genevia Totherow and Lenore Totherow.
    Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Thelma “Dean” McDonald; daughter, Debbie Harbin; sisters, Ollie Martin, Nina Graves and Ellen Seabolt; grandchildren, Amy Jones and Nathan Harbin; great-grandchildren, C.J. Jones, Luke Harbin, Jake Harbin and Hadlee Harbin.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy, with the Revs. Eddis Dockery and Richard Roberson officiating. Music was provided by Lisa Roberson. Interment followed in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jimmy Totherow, Rhuel Hughes, David McDonald, Jeff Martin, Keith Martin and Don Stiles. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Roger, Steve Martin and Melvin Patterson.
    Arrangements were entrusted to Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy.
