    Ralph Edward Dailey Jr., 43, of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021.
    He was the son of Juanita Morgan Holden and the late Ralph Edward Dailey. Ralph was born Aug. 24, 1978, in Swain County but had been a longtime resident of Cherokee County.
    He had worked as an equipment operator, and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting.
    He was also preceded in death by a brother, “Freddie” Alfred Holden.
    In addition to his parents, he was survived by one son, Bristol Dailey; three brothers, Jeff Holden (Lisa) of Tocca, Ga., Darren Holden (Lisa) of the Peachtree community, and Shannon Holden of the Nantahala community; two sisters, Angela Mealer (Danny) and Julie Roper of Marble; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews with Pastors Wayne McGuire and Bo Phillips officiating. Interment was in Bethel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff, Darren and Wesley Holden, Danny Mealer, and Jake and Jason Rowland. Bristol Dailey served as honorary pallbearer.
    The family received friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
