Body

Pamela Glass, caring wife and mother, passed away at the age of 53 early Sunday morning, April 4, 2021, due to complications from cancer.
Pamela was born Aug. 2, 1967, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Sharon and William Stigall.
She only spent a few years in Mansfield before the family moved to the Tampa, Fla., area.
She attended Brandon High School, where she was a member of JROTC. After she graduated in 1985, Pamela briefly attended college, where she majored in accounting.
Shortly after graduating high school, she met her husband, Randy Glass, in 1988, and they were married on July 8, 1989. They had their daughter in 1992 and lived in the Tampa area until 1993, when they moved to Murphy, where their son was born in 1999.
She worked at McDonald’s in Murphy until 1999. After leaving there, she moved into working accounting jobs for both her father’s business and other local businesses.
Pamela was an active member of her family’s church for years. She felt having a children’s director in the church was particularly important, and Vickie Dockery was serving as such at Murphy First Baptist in 1994. Pamela decided to begin a membership at Murphy First soon after seeing Vickie at work, where she cooked for members of the church, played music on Sunday mornings and led youth services for a few years.
Pamela loved playing and making music with her friends and family. She often played her flute during church services and programs, and was involved in the women’s handbells group as well. She loved to dance and sing along to her favorite songs.
Pamela loved cats, especially black cats, and was always showing photos of her own cats to anyone who would look to share her happiness and joy with them.
Pamela was well known by anyone who met her for her hot pink hair and constant infectious smile even in the face of distress. Her personality and love of life can be summed up in the phrase she lived by, “Humor, Hugs and Hallelujahs.” The warmth and love she exuded to whoever she met will be remembered by many, from family and friends to passing strangers.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Randy Glass of Murphy; her two children, Randi Kaye Glass and Andrew Glass, both of Murphy; her mother, Sharon Stigall; and her brothers B.J., Scott and Dirk Stigall.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
Ivie Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
