Lorrine Ruth Henderson, 89, of Blossom Lane, Murphy, passed away peacefully Friday, July 30, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Lorrine was born Feb. 22, 1932, in Lakewood, Ga., daughter of the late Harvey Morris and Etter Picklismer.
Lorrine proudly worked for Baker Furniture as a color patcher for over 30 years. She always kept a great work ethic.
Lorrine also loved collecting cookie jars and going to yard sales.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Dale Henderson; and a sister, Jeanett King.
Lorrine was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Bryant of Murphy, and Donna Portus of Copperhill, Tenn.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Howard “Pat” Cable of Murphy, William and Jan Dawkins of Acworth, Ga.; four brothers and one sister-in-law; James Harvey Morris of Atlanta, Winfred Morris of Epworth, Ga., Tommy and Wanda Morris of Dalton, Ga., and Bobby Morris of Virginia Beach, Va.; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Geneva Reynolds of Morganton, Ga., Ella Mae Heaton of Blue Ridge, Ga., Lorretta and the Rev. Harold Weeks of Blue Ridge, Ga., Linda and Steve Chambers of Morganton, Ga., Raymond and Becky Morris of Morganton, Ga.; six grandchildren, Alex Lynn Bryant, Anthony Lloyd Bryant, Laurie Mills, Andrew Dawkins, Stephanie Portus, David Portus; and two great-grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time.
