    Keith Hughes, 62, of Murphy, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, in a Chattanooga, Tenn., hospital.
    He was born in Murphy to the late Jack Hughes and Robbie Baugh Hughes.
    Keith had worked as an electrician for Sylvania for many years and loved to watch the Atlanta Braves.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Regina Radford; and two aunts, Wanda Bradley and Linda Parson.
    Surviving are his wife of 18 years, Mercia Seabolt Hughes of Murphy; two daughters, Rachel Howe and Robin Galloway of Kentucky; two step daughters, Angie Haney and husband Scott and Christi Howard and husband Brian, all of Murphy; one stepson, Dwayne Sneed of Atlanta; one brother, Barry Hughes and wife Judy of Murphy; aunts Brenda Carter and Sandy Laney, both of Murphy; three grandsons, Reese Haney, Logan Howard and Jared Lovingood; and a granddaughter, Taylor.
    Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, with the Revs. Chris Seabolt and Doug Howard officiating. Interment will be in the Bellview Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Laney, Austin Beavers, Logan Howard, Matthew Bradley, Caleb Bradley and Wyatt Bradley.
    The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Ivie Funeral Home prior to the service.
