Body

Hope Hushion, 44, of Andrews, sadly left us unexpectedly Friday, June 11, 2021.
She grew up in Stamford, Conn., and Milford, Conn.. After graduating from Johnson & Wales University – School of Culinary Arts, she followed her passion for specialty cooking to areas on Martha’s Vineyard and Portland, Maine, along with restaurants in Connecticut. She was an accomplished chef acquiring many awards during her career. Hope had the honor of serving both President Clinton and President Obama while working on Martha’s Vineyard.
Hope will always be remembered for her big smile, kindness, compassion, and always holding her friends and family close to her heart. She was a friend to many and was loved by all she came in contact with. She will be so very missed by many.
Hope leaves behind her loving dad, Robert Hushion; her devoted stepmom, Lynn Hushion of Andrews; her mother, Sandra LaGuardia of Stamford, Conn.; her brother, Rob Hushion, and his fiancee, Karen Ramos, of Stratford, Conn.; and her nieces, Hallie and Madison of New Haven, Conn. Hope is also survived by many cousins who all held a special place in her heart.
She will be sorely missed by her Aunt Alice and Uncle Jim Kelly of Waltham, Mass., as well as her Uncle John and Aunt Jan LaGuardia of New Bern, N.C., and Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.
A celebration of Hope’s life will be held in Andrews in July and will be announced at a later date.
Donations may be made in her name to the organization of your choice.
Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, is in charge of all arrangements.
