    Hazel Hodge, 91, of Andrews, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021.
    Hazel was born May 19, 1929, in Swain County to the late Harley and Arizona Styles Stiles.
    She worked at District Memorial Hospital, Lee’s and Owenby Manufacturing. Hazel also had owned and operated Hodge Florist.
    She enjoyed making quilts, knitting, visiting, cooking chicken and dumplings, and also banana pudding.
    Hazel was a lifetime member of McClelland Baptist Church.
    Hazel’s family circle is complete now. Her parents, brothers Jessie, Charles, Coburn and Eugene, and sisters Betty and Lois have had a glorious reunion around her precious Lord and with the love of her life, Harold “Bill” Hodge.
    Hazel is survived by one son, Ken Wiggins and wife Debra; a “special son,” Philip Hodge and wife Carolyn; granddaughters, Holly Wiggins, Crystal Chapman (Greg); step granddaughters, Towana Birchfield and Billie Brown; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Kaleigh, Slade, Demetre, Norman, Kadie, Trenton, Bradley and Charlotte; nieces and nephews, Belinda, Evan, Emogene, Lou Ann, Gayle and Mike; and her friend she loved like a sister, Ann Taylor.
    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 9, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. The Revs. Steve West and Shawn Clark officiated. Music was provided by Icie Mae and McClelland Cove Baptist Church choir. Burial was in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Phillip and Mike Hodge, Roger Stanley, Tony Hall, and Robert and Steve Truett. Honorary pallbearers were Brody Holloway and Bobby Grindstaff.
    The family received friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 9, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
