Diane Wilson of Murphy passed away Sunday, May, 23, 2021, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence L. (Dutch) Forrer and mother, Janet Y. Forrer.
Originally from York, Pa., Diane spent 40-plus years living in the metro Atlanta area before relocating to her forever dream home in Murphy in 2014.
Diane is survived by her husband, Wallace B. (Buddy) Wilson; sister, Karen Lau of Murphy; brother, David Forrer and wife Elise of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; stepchildren, Todd Wilson and wife Elizabeth, and their son, Jackson; Beth Wilson Pamer and her husband, Randy; Ann Wilson Penson and her children, Joshua and Ashley; nieces, nephews; and countless friends. Diane cherished her role as both aunt and second mother to Christa Bauer and Travis Lau. She will be missed greatly by all who had the honor and pleasure of having known her.
Diane loved living her life in her adopted hometown of Murphy. In addition to loving her family and friends, she was devoted to her canine children, Murphy and Sophie. Remembrances in her name may be made to Valley River Humane Society, P.O. Box 658, Murphy, NC 28906.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be planned at a later date.
