    Diane Cole Davis, 76, of Farner, Tenn., passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, at home.
    She was born April 29, 1945, in Copperhill, Tenn., to the late Arthur Bradley Cole and Elize Anna Mae Lynn Cole.
    Diane was a lifelong member of Turtletown Church of God of Prophecy.
    She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, everyone, never meeting a stranger.
    Diane was a substitute teacher for Polk County Schools and then worked at Sky City in Murphy.
    She loved shopping, growing flowers, working in the yard, canning vegetables and enjoyed singing gospel music.
    Diane was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Addrienne Ledford Newman; brother, Horace Robert Cole; and sister, Dora Mae Crowder.
    Survivors are husband of 56 years, James “Mush” Davis of Farner, Tenn.; daughters and son-in-law, Cindy Davis of Farner, Tenn., and Cathy Bradford (Charlie) of Benton, Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law, Chip Davis (Angie) of Hiwassee Dam; grandchildren, Colby Ledford, Joshua Carswell (Emily), Colton Davis, Kellee Davis, Brittany Davis, Randi Newman and Peyton Williamson; great-grandchildren, Aubri Thomasson and Cloe Carswell; and special caregivers and friends, Lesa, Jonathan and Allison Silvers.
    A special thank you for the caregiving during her illness to Tennessee Home Health and Caris Hospice.
    Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with the Revs. Sam Morrow and Gerald Mann officiating. Music was provided by Colby Ledford, Mush Davis, Peyton Williamson, Tom Anderson, Doris Howard and Brad Grizzell.
    Interment followed in Zion Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Worley, Chris Crowder, David Goode, Jesse Williamson, Steve Morris and Charlie Bradford. Honorary pallbearers were Rusty Crowder, Richard Crowder, Ricky Cochran, Christopher Crowder, James Crowder and Jakob Crowder.
    The family received friends at the funeral home from noon until the funeral hour of 2 p.m. Friday,
Oct. 22.
