Charles Roy Curtis, 91, of Murphy, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021, at his home.
He was born July 19, 1929, in Cherokee County, to the late John Curtis and Laura Brown Curtis.
He was a member of Upper Peachtree Baptist Church, a homebuilder, and enjoyed gardening and turkey hunting.
Mr. Curtis was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Curtis, Dewel Curtis, Bob Curtis and Opal Jean Raxter.
Survivors include his spouse, Eunaviee Hedrick Curtis; children, Angie Curtis, Gail Conner and Myra Teesateskee; five grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 30, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Steve West, Derek Tilley and Jason Killian officiating. Interment followed in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Martin, Larry Curtis, Barry Curtis, Dennis Curtis, David Bruce Yonce and Danny Raxter.
Arrangements were entrusted to Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy.
