    Cameron Blake Gilliam, 25, of Andrews, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
    Cameron was born Aug. 7, 1995, in Cherokee County to Johnny Gilliam of Gainesville, Ga., and Heather Piercy Gilliam.
    He was a fan of the Boston Celtics, Red Sox and Alabama football.
    Cameron was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church of Andrews.
    He was also a U.S. Army veteran who had been stationed at Schofield Barracks TC in Hawaii.
    Cameron was fun to be around.
    In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, John and Kathy Piercy of Andrews; brother, Stephen Gamble; stepbrothers, Damien Blasiol and Stone Blasiol; sister, Gabby Gilliam; stepsister, Claudia Blaisiol; and several aunts and uncles.
    Cameron was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Betty June Hunt.
    A funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Andrews. The Rev. Jack Hollowell and Minister Jackie Sullivan officiated. Burial was at Mount Zion Baptist Church with military graveside rites being conducted by American Legion Post 96 Murphy, American Legion Post 532 Hayesville, VFW Post 6812, Hayesville, and the Marine Corps League Marble. Pallbearers were Darrie Stabler, Jason Morman, Paul Rambler, Clay Wiggins, Jason Johnson and Randy Glass.
    The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church.
