Calvin Messex, 67, of Murphy, passed away Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, at MMC after an intense case of Covid/pneumonia.
He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Dorothy Messex. Surviving siblings are Kay Palumbo (FL) and Terry Messex (TN).
Calvin was blessed with an abundance of family and friends who loved and thought a great deal of him.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 32 years Janet Glover Messex, son Shaun Messex of Lake Wales, FL, and son Casey Messex of Lawrenceville, GA. Calvin was very proud of his grandchildren Shelby, Logan, Aubrey and Grayson Messex. He will also be remembered by several nieces and nephews, and his inherited daughter Katrina Messex.
Cochran Funeral Home has provided the cremation service, and Calvin will be forever on his beloved mountain.
