    Betty Revis Newton, 77, of Marble, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021, at her home.
    Mrs. Newton was born Sept. 28, 1943, in Andrews to the late Aubrey James Revis and Tommie Mills Revis.
    She had retired from Danaher Tool Group after 20 years of making Craftsman Hand Tools.
    Betty was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed doing yard work and especially working with her daylilies.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Wayne Newton Sr.; and son, Marcus Alan Newton.
    Survivors include her daughter, Glenda (Matthew) Payseur; sons, Hal Wayne Newton Jr., Jonathan Dewayne Newton, and Samuel Luke Newton; granddaughters, Brittney (Kitana Queen) Weaver,   and Brandy Weaver; and sisters, Becky Revis Palmer and Peggy Revis Dills.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 31, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy with Pastor Harold Stiles officiating. Music was by Ashley Williams. Pallbearers were Adam Powell, Isaac Stafford, C.J. Jones, Robert Martin and Colby Pace. Interment followed in Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
    The family received friends from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, May 30, at Cochran Funeral Home, Murphy.
    Arrangements were entrusted to Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy.
