    Betty Mildred Panther Rowland was born Feb. 5, 1927, and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021.
    Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Florence Mae Panther Chambers (Charlie); her loving husband, George Warren Rowland; and beautiful daughter, Judy Ann Rowland Bryant.
    She is survived by seven children, Georgett Rowland Gordon (Henry) of Dayton, Tenn., Danny Warren Rowland (Dianne) of Milledgeville, Ga., Teresa Janette Rowland Aaron of Dayton, Tenn., George Allen Rowland (Ann) of Tunnel Hill, Ga., Debra Jane Rowland Williams (Larry) of Peachtree, Mary Agnes Rowland Thompson (Frank, [D]) of Franklin, and Martha Rowland Bradford (Jon) of Dalton, Ga. She was blessed with 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
    She never met a stranger and was loved by all. God received a beautiful soul into Heaven, and she will be greatly missed here on earth.
    The family wishes to extend special recognition for the exceptional care mother received from her caretakers at Homestead Hospice in Blairsville, Ga. (Diana Arrowood and Heather Rogers, special friend and cousin Theresa Parker).
    A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Rowland Hills Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Feathers officiating.
    The family will receive friends from noon-1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
