Wanda Jean Taylor Byers, 79, of Warne, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019, in Hall County, Ga.
She was born in Bell County, Texas, to the late Millard and Geraldine Garner Taylor.
She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Hayesville.
Wanda loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed her work at Country Cottage, where she made many acquaintances and friends during her time at the restaurant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Millard Dean Taylor; and four sisters, Geneva Taylor, Joanne Nalley, Margie Sharp and Aletta White.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Fred Byers; three sons, Danny Byers of Wellington, Fla., Benny Byers of Belton, Texas, and Mike Byers of Warne; one daughter, Sheryl Miller and husband Steve of Warne; one brother, Jimmy Taylor of Corsicana, Texas; one sister, Janet Leigh Fitzgerald of Belton, Texas; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at noon Saturday, June 29, at First Free Will Baptist Church. The Revs. Chris Rumfelt, Johnny Foster and Billy Stiles officiated.
The family received friends from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 29, at First Free Will Baptist Church.
