Vernon Glyn Luckey, 77, of Brasstown, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019, at his residence.
He was born in Fort Myers, Fla., to the late James and Lela Stewart Luckey.
Glyn was a U.S. Army veteran. He was an electrician and a member of Little Brasstown Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Luckey.
He is survived by two sons, Danny Luckey, and Scott Luckey and Janet Braswell; two daughters, Tammy Patrick and husband Michael, and Rene Branom and husband David; one brother, Gary Luckey and wife Betty; grandchildren, Jonathan Branom, Dakota, Chloe and Jasmine Luckey, Bethani and Joshua Patrick; two great-granddaughters, Aiyla and Ashley Branom.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at Little Brasstown Baptist Church. The Rev. Aud Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites being conducted by American Legion Post 96 Murphy, American Legion Post 532 Hayesville, VFW Post 6812, Hayesville, and the Marine Corps League, Marble. Pallbearers will be Robert Caldwell, David Branom, Danny and Scott Luckey, Jonathan Branom, Kenny Hall and Dale Fulbright.
The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at Little Brasstown Baptist Church.
