Thelma Lorene Akin Anderson, 93, of Murphy, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016, at her residence.
She was a native of Trezevant, Tenn., but lived most of her life in Clermont, Fla., before moving to Murphy several years ago.
She was a daughter of the late Neal Cleveland and Lillian Lorene Lunday Akin.
While living in Florida, Thelma had worked as a fruit grader. Thelma was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Anderson; a brother, Willard Akin and a son, Jack R. Anderson.
She is survived by one son, Jimmie Anderson of St. Marks, Fla.; two daughters: Frankie Cornwell and husband Charles of Murphy and Elaine Helson and husband Dennis of Clermont, Fla.; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pastor Harold Stiles will officiate.
