Polly Ann Pack, 74, of Andrews, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016, at her residence.
She was born in Andrews to the late Thomas Manuel Painter and Mattie Jane Dailey.
Polly worked as a nurse at District Memorial Hospital in surgery for 20 years. She worked for Dr. Floyd Blalock at the Andrews Clinic until he retired. Polly then worked for Dr. Gary Roper until her retirement in 2002.
She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Second Baptist Church in Andrews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Grace Whitener of Andrews.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence “Shorty” Pack; two sons, Jamie Pack and wife Veronica and Jeffrey Pack, all of Andrews; three brothers, Tony Painter and wife Dianne of Andrews, Tom Painter Jr. and wife Louise of Marietta, Ga., and James Painter and wife Sandy of London, Ky.; sister, Sue Foxx and husband J.C. of Athens, Tenn.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. The Rev. Donald Watkins officiated. Burial followed in Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jamie Pack, Chuck Davis, Jason Rowland, Jerry Phillips, Jeff Clark and Kyle Cartledge. Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Jones and J.C. Foxx.
The family received friends from noon-2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
