Nicole Ann Leclair-Kelley of Murphy, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016.
She was a beloved wife, loving mother and devoted friend. She was born Nov. 14, 1964, and raised in Gainesville, Fla., before moving to live with her husband and family in Thomasville, Ga., until she came to Murphy 10 years ago, where she felt most at home.
She earned degrees in Veterinary Technician and Environmental Biology from Abraham-Baldwin Agricultural College and Thomas University. She was in her last year of studying to receive a master’s degree to be a licensed counselor at Western Carolina University.
Her many passions included her family, horses, traveling, being outdoor, and various creative endeavors.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, William Kelley; her son, Matthew Kelley, and her daughter, Rebecca Kelley; her parents, Robert and Virginia Leclair of Indian Land, S.C.; and her sister, Michele Leclair-Giron of Cali, Columbia, South America. Others left behind include various uncles, aunts, cousins, a niece and nephew, and many friends.
A memorial service and visitation were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue or Last Chance Corral Rescue. Both can be found online.
