Nancy Moss, 68, of Indian Trail, and formerly of Marble, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, in Indian Trail.
She was born in Dublin, Ga., to the late Paul and Maggie Mackey.
Nancy was a media coordinator in the Cherokee County Schools. She was a volunteer at the Cherokee County Historical Museum, Red Cross and Cherokee County Master Gardeners.
Nancy was a member of Marble Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Jeffrey Moss and wife Amanda of Charlotte; two daughters, Amy Moss and Jared Greenwald of Marietta, Ga., and Joanna Parker and husband Doug of Indian Trail; one sister, Ann Bluestein and husband David of Darien, Ga.; and three granddaughters, Callie Parker, Chloe Parker and Kara Moss.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb, 20, at Marble Springs Baptist Church. The Revs. Robert Hawke and John Bailey officiated. Burial was in Moss Cemetery. Pallbearers were Oran Mosteller, Walter Rich, Robbie Parker, Johnathan Hedden, Knox Chapman and Jeffrey Moss. Honorary pallbearers were Jared Greenwald and Doug Parker.
The family received friends from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Marble Springs Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cherokee County Historical Musuem, 87 Peachtree St., Murphy, NC 28906, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
